Go Home Helen Clark

This blog has deliberately steered clear of NZ politics since the Christchurch earthquake (apart from one post already scheduled the day of the earthquake) but Helen Clark’s visit to Christchurch is something that has to be remarked upon. Clark’s visit does nothing for Christchurch. She is not Prime Minister. She was completely rejected for that role in the last NZ election. She now (fittingly) works for a corrupt and wasteful and decaying global organisation that only deserves one fate and that is to die slowly away.

She claims she is visiting Christchurch as a “private citizen”. When Emergency Services are requesting that sight seers should remain clear and unnecessary travel to and within Christchurch should be avoided.

Clark has only one real reason to defy the advice of Emergency Management and travel to Christchurch and that is to give herself and NZ’s left political faction some profile in the tragedy. To try and head off the lead in popularity such an event usually gives to incumbent political figures. This disgusting cynical woman has no business being there. John Key is the Prime Minister. He is there. Politically, that is all we need.

Go home Helen Clark. You are not needed in Christchurch. Better still, go back to New York and your United Nations post. For so cynically putting the political fortunes of the left above real consideration of the Christchurch earthquake victims, neither are you needed in New Zealand.

Well, I see she is with Goff, so of course this adds to the political aspect. The woman has never had any shame.

She just automatically assumes a position of privilege. There are many who might feel the urge to travel to Christchurch to comfort and help friends and relatives but who have not done so out of respect for the Emergency Operations still being carried out there. Clark obviously considers herself above such restraint.

When I saw the news coming out of New Zealand regarding Christchurch I was stunned and heartsick. I have prayed for God to comfort the grief stricken, the survivors, and most especially the emergency services personnel. But as you say, politicians often politicize the suffering of others for their own advantage and I believe such people to be the lowest forms of life. I am not well versed in kiwi politics so I defer to your assessment of the situation. Regardless, please know that I shall keep New Zealand in my prayers as you work through this terrible tragedy.

Wanting to see the back of that hideous human being is why I first became interested in politics…

Know how much is Helen donating? Was that first class return ticket all she could afford on a UN salary?

    She is a disgrace.

I thought it was worse that she seemed to be speaking like she spoke for the country.

I was reminded of DPF pointing out she talks about the country when she means herself. I notice that many media didn’t report those comments.

Most socialists do the same. The arrogant Clark though was particularly prone to it.

If the UNDP had a role here then fair enough she came over. They did not so as you said she is just a private citizen and the lowest form of life, a disaster tourist.

Go back to New York Helen you are not wanted or needed here. I don’t agree with alot of what this government has done but boy am I glad John Key is PM instead of this creature.

    Red,

Surely you know by now that in her mind Helen Clark IS New Zealand. It seems to be a disease of the left…hence Obama’s attitude toward the US electorate.

Or his decision to unilaterally announce that the Defence of Marriage Act is unconstitutional – it may be but does he now think he is the Supreme Court..?

Actually I’m reading that move has alienated a large part of his black support base.

The Black community is still largely Christian, atheist Obama was always going to have to walk a fine line between keeping their support as a raging socialist…
